Sophomore Jacinda McLeod of the Boston University field hockey team has been named a Third Team All-American by WomensFieldHockey.com.
McLeod was dominant on both ends of the field this season, finishing second on the team in points (16) and goals (6) while anchoring a defense that allowed just 23 goals in 18 games. The second-year back was named the 2010 America East Defensive Player of the Year and was also selected to the NFHCA Northeast Region First Team.
McLeod was one of four America East players honored on the third team, joining Albany's Christina Patrick, Maine's Kelly Newton and New Hampshire's Whitney Frates.
