Senior goalkeeper Rachel Klein turned in one of the best performances of her career to lead the Boston University lacrosse team to its unprecedented sixth straight America East title on Saturday against UMBC.
Klein recorded 15 saves - 12 in the first half alone - in the Terriers' 11-10 victory over the Retrievers in the championship game at Albany's Fallon Field. On Thursday in the semifinals, Klein made five saves as part of a stifling BU defense that allowed UNH just three first-half shots in an eventual 10-6 victory.
For the season, Klein boasts a 9.56 goals-against average and a .488 save percentage.
