After a record-breaking performance against Vermont on Saturday, sophomore Danielle Etrasco of the Boston University lacrosse team has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
The America East Player of the Week single-handedly outscored the Catamounts in a must-win game for the Terriers, as the sophomore attacker recorded nine goals in a 16-8 win on Saturday. The victory secured BU a spot in the America East tournament for the 13th consecutive year.
The Massapequa, N.Y., native, who scored on all nine of her shot attempts, set a program single-game record while also tying the America East single-game mark. The nine markers, which surpassed two-time First Team All-American Sarah Dalton's (`09) eight tallies in 2009, were the most registered in a game in the NCAA this season.
