
Collins to Compete in IWLCA Senior All-Star Game

BOSTON - Rachel Collins of the Boston University lacrosse team has been selected to compete in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Senior All-Star Game, the organization announced Tuesday evening. The lone America East representative, Collins will play for the North squad.
The all-star game will take place at the Champions' Cup, to be held at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa., June 11.
An America East All-Conference First Team selection, Collins earned IWLCA Northeast All-Region Second Team recognition following a solid 2011 campaign. The midfielder ranked second in the league with 2.18 ground balls per game and third with 3.12 draw controls per game. Collins' 53 draw controls also ranked third on the program's single-season list.
The Winchester, Mass., native registered career highs in both goals (16) and points (22), while adding 37 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers. She graduated with 134 draw controls, good for fourth on BU's all-time list.
