After leading field hockey team to a thrilling road win in its America East opener at No. 23 Albany, senior Tabi Hatch has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week. America East Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Hatch scored the game-tying and game-winning goals on her only two shots of the game. The senior striker's two tallies came in the game's final 8:37 after the Great Danes opened the scoring in the 58th minute.
In the 62nd minute, Hatch knotted the game with a shot from above the right post following a pass by classmate Macey Gaumond. Just four miuntes later, senior Leslie Zules found Hatch for the game-winner.
Hatch, who helped set up the Terriers' second goal in a 3-2 loss to No. 5 UConn on Sunday, was also named America East Player of the Week.
