HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lauro had the first good opportunity of the game less than a minute into the proceedings after a nifty display of stickhandling, but she was unable to beat the goalkeeper.
- BU then won an early penalty corner, but the ensuing shot was blocked.
- Late in the first quarter, BU had another golden chance but the pass to an open Terrier in the circle went just past her stick.
- Despite a 10-0 lead in shot attempts, including five shots on target, the Terriers were unable to break through in the opening 15 minutes.
- BU wasted no time getting on the board in the second quarter, however, as the Terriers struck just 22 seconds into the frame. Park dribbled up the left side of the field before firing the ball towards goal. O'Brien raced towards the left post and redirected the attempt past Burgess.
- Lauro doubled the Terriers' advantage in the 22nd minute. After a quick restart, Hudson fed Lauro for a perfectly-placed shot inside the left post.
- Freda tripled the Terrier lead in the 25th minute with a fantastic individual effort as she dribbled through several Mountain Hawk defenders before firing home a goal.
- Then, just 1:27 later, a nifty backhand finish from Driscoll extended the Terriers' advantage to 4-0.
- Lauro opened the second half with her second goal of the day just 2:36 into the third quarter.
- BU then took advantage of consecutive penalty corners to push the lead to 7-0, with Park and Hemeon both finding the back of the net in a span of 4:07.
- Lehigh scored on its first shot of the game with 4:18 remaining in regulation following the Mountain Hawks' first corner of the contest.
- That was the last significant action of the contest as the Terriers did not allow another Mountain Hawk shot.
- BU has outscored opponents, 14-3, across its first two Patriot League games of the season.
- The Terriers have defeated their last three opponents by a combined score of 19-4.
- Lauro has tallied three goals and two assists over the last three tilts.
- The Terriers have generated 54 shot attempts in their two conference wins this season, with 35 of those shots landing on goal.
- O'Brien has scored three goals during this three-game win streak.
- BU will welcome Holy Cross to New Balance Field on Friday, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m.
