
Etrasco Named America East Player of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior Danielle Etrasco of the Boston University women’s lacrosse team was named America East Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Etrasco (Massapequa, N.Y.) had a career day on Saturday at Binghamton, as she had a career-high four assists and notched five goals to match a career high with nine points. She also collected nine points on April 30, 2011, at Vermont. Her five goals and four assists helped propel BU past Binghamton, 18-16, and secure the Terriers’ first perfect record (6-0) in America East play since 2009.
The junior attack now has 55 goals and 21 assists for 76 points; she is second in the conference in both goals and points. Etrasco is tied for eighth in the nation with an average of 4.75 points per game and is ninth in the nation with an average of 3.44 goals per game. She has scored at least one goal in every game this season.
BU clinched the top seed in the America East Tournament and will host fourth-seeded Albany at Nickerson Field on Thursday, May 3, at 1 p.m. If the Terriers win, they will host either Stony Brook or UMBC in the championship game on Saturday, May 5, at 12 p.m.
