Landsman Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - After helping the No. 18 Boston University field hockey team emerge victorious in its first-ever Patriot League game, freshman Ellie Landsman has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week.
The freshman stepped up at Colgate on Saturday to help an injury-plagued backfield and allow the Terriers to come away with a 2-1 victory. Landsman and the Terriers limited the Raiders to only three shots on goal, including just two in the final 68 minutes of play.
Landsman has been a key contributor all season and earned her first career defensive save in last Sunday's 2-1 overtime win against Providence.
The Terriers will return to action on Saturday (Sept. 28) when they host American in the first-ever Patriot League game held on BU's campus. Game time at New Balance Field is set for 1 p.m.
