Cerda Eimbcke Tabbed PL Goalkeeper of the Week
October 20, 2014 | Field Hockey
Cerda Eimbcke had two solid efforts over the weekend as she made three saves in a 4-0 shutout of Holy Cross on Friday and five saves in a 2-1 overtime loss at Massachusetts on Sunday.
She shared the Holy Cross shutout with sophomore Cammy Jensen and allowed just two goals in 144:50 of play in the two games. The Santiago, Chile, native has 31 saves while allowing just five goals in the last six games for the Terriers, leading the squad to a 4-2 record in those contests.
This marks the fifth PL Goalkeeper of the Week honor of Cerda Eimbcke's career and the first one for this season.
Cerda Eimbcke and the Terriers return to action on Friday (Oct. 24) when they visit American for a Patriot League contest. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
