Five Voted To All-Patriot League Teams

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Five members of the Boston University women's soccer team were named to the All-Patriot League list, the conference announced on Monday afternoon. Three Terriers earned first team honors while two were named to the third team.
Junior forward Jenna Fisher, senior midfielder Jamie Turchi and senior centerback Kai Miller were all honored as All-Patriot League First Team players. Junior midfielder McKenzie Hollenbaugh and senior defender Ariana Aston were voted to the third team.
Fisher, a Longmeadow, Mass. native, has been BU's spark on offense all season, scoring a team-high seven goals to lead the Terriers with 15 points. Of her goals, three were game-winners. Her three-game goal streak to begin conference play was the spark BU needed to excel in its Patriot League schedule.
Miller, who hails from Carpentaria, Calif., and Aston of East Setauket, N.Y. anchor one of the best back lines in the conference, which has allowed an average of just three shots on goal per game this season and a stingy 1.67 shots on goal in conference play. In total, the Terrier goalkeepers have had just 15 balls come their way through the Patriot League Schedule.
Much of the back line's success can be credited to excellent play in the midfield, led by Hollenbaugh and Turchi. Turchi, a native of Santa Margarita, Calif., has been a playmaker for the Terriers, especially in conference play. She has a team-high four assists including three during the Patriot League schedule, and has netted three goals including two game-winners. Hollenbaugh plays a defensive role in the midfield but did assist on BU's lone goal against Lehigh to tally her first career point.
