Del Rio Set To Represent Spain At European Championships

Boston University women’s lacrosse senior midfielder Louisa Del Rio is set to represent Spain at the 2015 European Women’s Lacrosse Championships in Nymburk, Czech Republic, which begin on Thursday against Sweden at Sports Center Nymbuk, located east of Prague. Del Rio is one of two American players selected to the 18-player squad.
The 10-day tournament, which is the largest women’s lacrosse event to ever be held in Europe, consists of 17 teams and will conclude with the championship final on Saturday, August 15 at 3 p.m.
Del Rio scored one goal in four appearances last season, tallying a point in the 11-9 win against Bucknell. The rising senior has played in 16 games through her career and started in three.
