The Crimson had one last chance with 6.3 seconds left and nearly the whole length of the field to conquer, and the Terriers did well to defend the last-ditch pass attempt and deny Harvard a final shot.

Harvard had three separate two-goal leads in the first quarter, but goals from Myers, Wilson and Farris cut the deficit to 4-3 after 15 minutes. Dearth assisted on the first two goals, and then tied the game thanks to a feed from Homire early in the second stanza.
The Crimson took a 5-4 lead with 9:05 left in the half before Schaal fed Bell from X for the junior's second strike of the season with 3:08 to play in the quarter.
Myers put BU in front less than three minutes into the second half with his fourth goal of the season to spark a 4-0 BU run. Dearth had the other three markers, including two in the fourth quarter to give the Terriers a 9-5 lead with 9:19 to play.
Harvard cut into the deficit with three goals of its own, capped by a Morgan Cheek marker with 1:28 remaining in regulation. Despite a penalty on the play, Harvard was unable to secure an equalizer thanks to Carson-Banister's stop and a subsequent BU clear.
BU will return to Patriot League play on Saturday when the Terriers travel to Lafayette.
