SPARKS, Md. - Sophomore Timothy Shannehan and junior Tyler Fox of the Boston University men's lacrosse team were named USA Lacrosse All-Americans, as announced on Thursday.
Both First Team All-Patriot League standouts earned honorable mention status for their superb play this season. No player in the Patriot League recorded more assists (37) or points (71) in the regular season than Shannehan, who was the first player in the NCAA (and the only Patriot League player) to reach 30+ goals and 30+ assists this season. He ended the year with 34 goals and 42 assists for 76 points, all of which were career highs. Shannehan was also named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team.

He set new career highs in goals (14), assists (10) and points (24) this year. He scored a career-high five goals at Holy Cross on April 24 en route to being named PL Offensive Player of the Week. His previous best game this season was a two-goal, two-assist effort in a 15-10 win over Navy on Feb. 28. Fox also scored in overtime at Lehigh on March 7 to complete a Terrier comeback. He finished the year on a five-game point streak, totaling 10 goals and three assists for 13 points.
