May 4, 2016 | Women's Lacrosse
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Taylor Hardison and Janelle Macone each earned a spot on the Academic All-Patriot League Team, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon. This is the first time BU has had two Terriers on the team of 12 student-athletes.
To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.
Hardison earns a place on the all-academic team for the second consecutive year. She currently leads the league in assists per game, averaging 1.94 and has 33 in total this season. The Darien, Conn. native has started in all 17 contests this year and has scored 38 points in those games. She reached a new career high with four assists against Fairfield and went on to match that performance three more times, most recently against Army West Point in the regular season finale.
The junior boasts a 3.67 grade point average in the Questrom School of Business and is majoring in Business Administration and Management.
Classmate Macone earns the honor for the first time after being named to the All-Patriot League Second Team on Monday. The junior has been a mainstay for a dominant Terrier defense, starting every game so far this season. She has helped BU limit opponents to just 7.67 goals per game and 23.2 shots per game throughout the conference schedule.
The Stoneham, Mass. native holds a 3.53 GPA as a Business Administration and Management major in the Questrom School of Business.
