May 1, 2017 | Women's Lacrosse
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - For the third-straight week, freshman Kailey Conry of the Boston University women's lacrosse team has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Conry started her week with a record-breaking performance at New Hampshire on Wednesday, setting new career-highs with three goals and eight assists for 11 points. Her eighth assist of the game, her 47th of the season, broke BU's single-season assists record. Both her 11 points and eight assists are the highest total a Patriot League player has accounted for in a single game this season. Her eight assists are tied for the fourth-highest single-game total in the NCAA this season, while her 11 points are tied for sixth in a single game.
The Needham, Massachusetts product followed with one goal and three assists on Saturday in a 17-6 drubbing of American, helping the Terriers clinch the No. 4 seed in the upcoming Patriot League tournament. She currently leads the team in assists (50) and points (63).
Conry is the first Terrier to earn three straight Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors and the first to earn three-straight conference Rookie of the Week nods since Jenny Hauser was named the America East Rookie of the Week four straight times.
Conry and the Terriers will host No. 5 Lafayette in a Patriot League tournament quarterfinal game on Tuesday, May 2 at 4 p.m.
