
Meegan Headlines Three All-Patriot League Honorees

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Three members of the Boston University women's lacrosse team earned All-Patriot League honors, as announced by the conference Monday. Goalkeeper Caroline Meegan was named the Defender of the Year along with being selected to the First Team, while junior defense Janelle Macone and freshman attack Kailey Conry were selected to the Second Team.
Meegan earns her third-straight All-Patriot League selection and her first nod to the First Team. The senior is the first Terrier to be selected for a Patriot League Major Award since BU joined the conference four years ago. Meegan is posting a historic season in net, as she owns BU's single-season saves record with 196 through 16 regular season games. The Lutherville, Maryland native currently ranks third in the NCAA in saves per game (12.25) and saves (196). She also leads the Patriot League with a .523 save percentage and has posted 11 double-digit save efforts on the year.
Macone makes her second straight appearance on the Second Team. One of he league's best mark-out defenders and a team captain, Macone has collected 16 ground balls and caused four turnovers.
Conry exploded onto the Patriot League scene as she leads the league in assists (50), assists per game (3.12) and ranks fifth in points per game (3.94). Conry broke BU's single-season assists record with her 47th find and has dealt at least three assists in each of the past 13 games. Additionally, Conry has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week three times this season.
