GRAND LAKE, Colo. - Adding to their lists of postseason accolades, Caroline Meegan and Kailey Conry of the Boston University women's lacrosse team were named to the IWLCA All-Northeast Region Second Team, as announced by the organization Friday.
Meegan and Conry are two of 128 Division I student-athletes to be named to an all-region team this year, as each earns their first recognition by the IWLCA.
Meegan, the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, capped her stellar four-year career with her third-straight All-Patriot League selection, including her debut on the First Team. The senior led the league in saves (218), saves per game (12.11) and save percentage (.515). A native of Lutherville, Maryland, she broke BU's single-season saves record with 218 this season and finished second all-time in career saves with 603. Meegan is just the fourth BU keeper to receive all-region honors.
An All-Patriot League Second Team member, Conry led the league in assists (54), assists per game (3.00) and ranked seventh in points per game (3.87). Hailing from Needham, Massachusetts, she broke BU's single-season assists record and was a three-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week. Conry is just the fifth freshman Terrier to be named to an all-region team.
