BOSTON – The Boston University women's lacrosse team has begun a 10-day international trip to Japan as it prepares for the 2017 International Friendship Games.
The Terriers are slated to visit Tokyo and Osaka from May 31 to June 9 in order to compete against the Japanese National Team in the 2017 International Friendship Games. On this 10-day trip the team will compete against other universities, hold teaching clinics to grow the game, and explore the rich Japanese culture. Every member of the program will be taking this once in a lifetime team trip and is excited for the opportunity to play on the world stage. In 2013 the Terriers made a similar trip to Tokyo, Japan also competing in the IFG in front of over 5,000 lacrosse fans.
