2017 Fall Schedule
BOSTON - Highlighted by two play days in Maryland, the Boston University women's lacrosse team has unveiled its 2017 fall schedule, as head coach Liz Robertshaw announced Wednesday.
The Terriers will partake in four play days, starting with a trip to Harvard on Sept. 24. From there, BU will travel to Maryland, starting with a visit to the USL headquarters for a play day on Oct. 14 hosted by Georgetown. The Mid-Atlantic excursion closes the following day with another all-day lacrosse affair hosted by Final Four participant Navy. BU's final tune-up of the fall will take place on Nickerson Field, as it hosts a play day on Oct. 21.
"We are really excited about this year's fall schedule," started Robertshaw. "It's a great blend of local in-region games and non-traditional Mid-Atlantic competition. At the end of last year I made it a point to ask for a fall competition in the Maryland area, and to our department's credit they backed that decision 100%, and it has allowed us to the opportunity fly down to Baltimore to compete in two quality events against high-level competition. I think the exhibitions we've put together for this fall will be a great test for the 2017-18 squad and I'm looking forward to seeing how they respond."
The annual alumni game will take place on Sunday, Oct. 8 with an 11:30 a.m. start time on Nickerson Field.
