
Terriers Return Home for Turnpike Trophy Matchup Wednesday Night

BOSTON - The Boston University women's soccer team will host the opening Turnpike Trophy game of the 2017-18 year as it welcomes Holy Cross on Wednesday, Sept. 27 for a 7 p.m. matchup.

Turnpike Trophy
- BU dominated Holy Cross in the 2016-17 Turnpike Trophy series, finishing with a commanding 21-1 advantage.
- Chelsea Churchill delivered a pair of goals in last season's contest, earning MVP honors in guiding the Terriers to a 3-1 victory in Worcester.
- Now in its third year, this will mark the second year in-a-row women's soccer has played the opening game of the Turnpike Trophy series. Wednesday's matchup will also mark the first time a Turnpike Trophy game has been played during the month of September.

- The Terriers outshot their opponent for the fifth straight game, finishing with a 16-13 edge over the Mountain Hawks.

- Anna Heilferty ranks second on the team in goals (2) and points (4).
- Amanda Fay picked up her third straight shutout on Saturday. Fay holds a 0.68 goals against average and .750 save percentage.
- Since joining the Patriot League in 2013, the Terriers have dominated, posting a 32-3-3 record with four regular season championships and three tournament titles.
- The Terriers have posted at least five clean sheets in each of its first four seasons in the Patriot League, and have amassed 30 league shutouts.
