BOSTON – With its 32nd varsity season on the horizon, the Boston University women's soccer program has formally announced its 2026 schedule on Wednesday morning.
BU, the defending Patriot League regular season champions, are set to compete in nine non-conference and nine Patriot League matches on its 18-game slate. The Terriers face opponents from eight different conferences: the Patriot League, CAA, America East, Metro, Big EAST, WCC, Ivy League and the ACC. BU's non-conference foes recorded a combined 55-62-37 record.
The campaign begins at Nickerson Field on Thursday, Aug. 13 as BU welcomes crosstown foe Northeastern to Commonwealth Ave. at 6 p.m.
A three-game road stretch quickly greets the Terriers afterwards with matches at UAlbany (Aug. 16), Fairfield (Aug. 20) and UConn (Aug. 23). BU then returns home for a three-game span in Boston against San Francisco (Aug. 30), Harvard (Sept. 3) and Providence (Sept. 6).
The Battle of Comm. Ave. returns to BU's docket as the Terriers trek to Boston College on Thursday, Sept. 10. Non-conference action concludes the following Sunday, Sept. 13, at Bryant.
BU opens Patriot League play on Saturday, Sept. 19, hosting Navy. Its conference road lidlifter takes place at Loyola Maryland a week later before September concludes with a rematch of the 2025 Patriot League title game against reigning champion Army West Point on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 6 p.m.
Four of BU's five matches in October are on the weekend, including a Sunday afternoon tilt at Lafayette on Oct. 4. The lone outlier is the annual Turnpike Trophy battle against Holy Cross, which is set for Friday, Oct. 23, in Worcester.
Following the regular season finale at Colgate on Wednesday, Nov. 4, the 2026 Patriot League Tournament begins with the first round on Sunday, Nov. 8. The semifinals take part on Thursday, Nov. 11 with the championship set for Sunday, Nov. 15.
