GRAND LAKE, Colo. - Adding to their lists of postseason accolades, Kailey Conry and Tonianne Magnelli of the Boston University women's lacrosse team were named to the IWLCA All-Northeast Region Second Team, as announced by the organization Friday.
Conry earned her second straight All-Northeast Region Second Team nod, while Magnelli picked up her first career honor from the IWLCA.
Conry posted a stellar sophomore season at the attack, leading the team in points (70) and assists (43). Hailing from Needham, Massachusetts, Conry tallied multi-point efforts in all but three games and broke the program single-game record with a 13-point output against Harvard on April 4. The All-Patriot League First Team member ranks second in the league with 2.39 assists per game and is 13 assists shy of breaking the program's career assist record.
Also an All-Patriot League First Team member, Magnelli stuffed the stat sheet as she ranked second on the team in caused turnovers (28), and draw controls (50) and also finished third in ground balls (35). One of the premier defenders in the league, Magnelli wreaked havoc on opponent's during conference play as she tabbed 16 caused turnovers, 14 ground balls and 34 draw controls in Patriot League regular season contests.
