Women's Lacrosse Holds 40th Season Anniversary Celebration

BOSTON - With the 40th anniversary season of Boston University women's lacrosse approaching this spring, the program welcomed back all alumni, coaches, and supporters of the program for an anniversary celebration the weekend of Sept. 27.
The memorable weekend started on Friday with a welcome gathering at Sunset Cantina. Saturday's festivites opened up with the Alumni Game on Nickerson Field, which was concluded by a postgame tailgate. The 40th Anniversary Gala highlighted the celebration, as all guests enjoyed an evening at Hotel Commonwealth.
"It was amazing to celebrate 40 years of BU Lacrosse with friends and family of the program this weekend," said head coach Lauren Morton. "We have a rich and storied tradition and it was apparent in every aspect of the celebration. We are grateful for all of the people who came back to celebrate, especially our former coaches who we were excited to honor. Our current team witnessed and felt the tradition and support from our alumnae. BU Lacrosse alumni are invested, committed and excited for our next 40 years. I am grateful to everyone in the department and our staff who helped to make this weekend a reality."
