Thompson Earns Spot on Academic All-Patriot League Team

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Sophomore Casey Thompson of the Boston University field hockey team has been named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team, as announced by the conference office on Thursday.

Thompson moved into a starting role this season for the Terriers and she currently owns a 3.81 cumulative grade-point average in the Questrom School of Business as a business administration & management major.

The sophomore recorded a goal and an assist this season - both in conference play - and now has nine points (3g, 3a) in 38 career games.

To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.

Thompson was one of only two sophomores to earn a spot on this year's Academic All-PL Team.
