
Women's Tennis Drops 4-0 Decision at Florida Atlantic

BOCA RATON, Fla. – After claiming a tightly-contested doubles point, Florida Atlantic captured the first three singles points to defeat the Boston University women's tennis team, 4-0, on Monday afternoon at the FAU Tennis Complex.
Once FAU (5-6) captured the fourth point, the other three singles matches featuring a BU (4-5) lead or beginning of a third set were halted.

- Senior Remi Ramos and sophomore Lily Burchell started off the action with a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles.
- The Owls though claimed a 6-2 victory in the No. 3 slot and edged sophomore Emily Kim and freshman Shelly Yaloz, 7-5, at line 2, for the doubles point.
- Coming off an upset victory against No. 42 Gabriela Knutson from Syracuse, FAU's Martina Kudelova held off Ramos at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 7-5.
- FAU also won in straight sets at lines 4 and 5 to seal the team victory.
- Yaloz was leading, 6-2, 4-5, at line 2 when her match was halted.
- Kim (#3) was ahead in the third set of her match, 6-2, 4-6, 2-1, while sophomore Katya Martens (#6) rallied to force a third set, 1-6, 6-2.
- The Terriers will next face the Vandals on Tuesday (March 12) at Florida International.
