
Magnelli Earns Second PL Defensive Player of the Week Nod

CENTRE VALLEY, Pa. - For the second time this season, senior defender Tonianne Magnelli has been named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week after guiding the Boston University women's lacrosse team to a pair of road wins this past week, as announced by the conference Monday.
Magnelli opened the week by winning three draw controls, picking up two ground balls and causing a pair of turnovers as BU fended off New Hampshire, in its non-conference finale on Tuesday. The Terriers posted a dominating 19-5 advantage on the draw, including an 11-1 clip in the second half.
The senior co-captain stayed hot on the draw as she came away with a game-high six decisions while registering a trio of ground balls and caused turnovers as the Terriers routed Bucknell, 19-7, in Lewisburg on Saturday.
