
Yaloz Claims Second PL Player of the Week Award

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – After collecting a pair of wins in both singles and doubles action, Boston University women's tennis freshman Shelly Yaloz has earned her second Patriot League Player of the Week award, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
Yaloz first teamed with sophomore Emily Kim for a 6-2 victory at line 2 in doubles at Navy and then followed up with a 6-3, 6-3 victory in the No. 2 singles slot to help the Terriers edge the Midshipmen, 4-3, Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, she and Kim claimed another 6-2 win at Loyola Maryland before Yaloz defeated 2018 All-PL First Team honoree Kateri Martin, 7-5, 7-5.
With the 7-0 sweep over the Greyhounds, BU improved to 5-0 in conference play. The Terriers were scheduled to face UConn on Wednesday (April 10), but that match has been canceled. They will next wrap up the regular season against defending PL champion Army on Sunday at MIT with a 12 p.m. start time.
