GRAND LAKE, Colo. - For the second straight year, the duo of Kailey Conry and Tonianne Magnelli of the Boston University women's lacrosse team were named to the IWLCA All-Northeast Region Team, as announced by the organization Tuesday.
Conry, who earned her third straight IWLCA All-Region selection, picked up her first career nod to the First Team, while Magnelli earned a spot on the Second Team.
Conry posted another historic season as she became the fastest Terrier to reach 200 career points and broke her own program single-season record with 55 assists. Conry additionally led the NCAA with 3.67 assists per game and ranked eighth in the nation with 5.33 points per contest. Her 13 points and 10 assists at Holy Cross were the most points and assists a player in the NCAA has recorded in a single game this season.
Magnelli closed out a spectacular career on the defense, highlighted by winning 81 draw controls, the second-most in a single season in Terrier history, and ranked second on the team in ground balls (34) and caused turnovers (25). The senior co-captain was a two-time Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week and was one of three Terriers to start all 18 games.
