HOW IT HAPPENED
- After killing off an early penalty, the Terriers opened the scoring when junior Kasper Kotkansalo found Wilmer Skoog all alone in the right circle, where the freshman initially mishandled the pass before snapping a shot past UNH netminder Mike Robinson at 9:28 of the first.
- The Terriers got a major power play late in the first and it turned into a 5-on-3 advantage just 14 seconds later.
- BU used the two-man edge to double lead, once again converting from the right circle on Harper's 40th goal as a Terrier with 2:27 left in the opening frame.
- UNH got on the board with a tally from Chase Stevenson at 3:27 of the second but the Terriers responded less than two minutes later to quickly reestablish a two-goal lead.
- Zegras earned his 11th tally of the season when he took a pass from classmate Jamie Armstrong and had his attempt from just above the right circle glaze off a UNH defender and in at 5:24.
- An aggressive BU rush produced a three-goal cushion with just under eight minutes left in the second as Farrance finished off some quick right-to-left passing by Harper and Zegras to pot his 14th goal of the season.
- The Terriers played a smart third period while continuing to great good chances before closing out the 4-1 victory.
- BU extended its unbeaten streak against UNH to 11 games (9-0-2) with its seventh straight win over the Wildcats.
- The Terriers held a 31-27 shot advantage.
- Robinson made 26 saves for the Wildcats.
- BU went 1-for-6 on the power play and successfully killed off both of UNH's chances with the man advantage.
- The Terriers are now the only team in the country to have three players with 32 or more points this season (Farrance – 37; Harper – 35; Zegras – 32).
- Before tonight, BU's last two games that took place on Valentine's Day were road losses to UNH.
- The two teams will wrap up their home-and-home weekend at Agganis Arena on Saturday (Feb. 15).
- Game time is set for 7 p.m.
