Mattivi to Skate for Italy at Olympic Pre-Qualification Tournament

BOSTON - Junior Nadia Mattivi of the Boston University women's ice hockey team will skate for the Italian National Team this weekend in a pre-qualification tournament for the 2022 Winter Olympics.
A defender from Baselga di Pinè, Italy, Mattivi will play three games for her country, beginning on Thursday, Oct. 7, against Spain. Puck drop for that contest is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. ET. Fans can watch that game live on YouTube by clicking here. Italy is the host country for this group, with all games taking place in Torre Pellice. Following Thursday's tilt against Spain, Italy will host Chinese Taipei on Oct. 9 and Kazakhstan on Oct. 10. All of Italy's games will be available to watch on YouTube.
Mattivi has been terrific for the Terriers during her BU career. She recorded one assist during last weekend's sweep of New Hampshire. In 47 career games, Mattivi has scored five goals and added 13 assists for 18 points.
BU will continue its season on Friday night when the Terriers host No. 2 Northeastern at Walter Brown Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets for that contest by clicking here.
