BOSTON – The Boston University men's soccer team will resume Patriot League play by flying south to American with Saturday's matchup slated to begin at 1 p.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS

BU is looking to bounce back from Tuesday night's 2-1 loss at Harvard in which all three goals were scored in the first 23 minutes of action.
In the contest, sophomore Andrew Rent became the fourth Terrier to net a goal with an impressive strike inside the left post after missing the first eight games of the season due to injury.
Both freshman Brian Hernandez and junior Quinn Matulis lead BU with two goals apiece, while junior Ronaldo Marshall owns a goal and an assist for three points.
Sophomore Andrew Wike made his second appearance of the season at net against the Crimson and posted a personal-best eight saves.
Junior Francesco Montali owns seven starts and is joined by senior Michael Stone in earning a shutout.
Overall, opponents are averaging 5.1 more shots per game with a 60-38 advantage in corner kicks.

SCOUTING AMERICAN

The Eagles are on a three-game win streak following last Saturday's 2-1 overtime win at Bucknell and earlier victories over George Mason (1-0) and Lehigh (2-0).
American's lone conference loss so far was a 2-1 decision at Holy Cross.
Patriot League Preseason Player of the Year David Coly leads the Eagles with 13 points off four goals and five assists.
Ethan Boyle and Robbie Matei own two goals apiece, while Evan Schweikert has two assists.
Lorenzo Gordon has made six starts at net for AU, posting a 1.63 goals against average with a .694 save percentage.
Opponents are averaging two more shots per game despite AU owning a 48-41 advantage in corners.

SERIES HISTORY

The Terriers are 4-3-1 all-time in the series dating back to 2013 and have won the last three meetings by a combined score of 6-2.
BU is 3-1-0 in Washington, D.C., after rallying for a 2-1 victory in 2019 when Matt McDonnell ('19) netted goals in the 33rd and 67th minutes, respectively.
