Borzymowski Earns NFHCA All-Region Honors

BROCKPORT, N.Y. - Junior Rachel Borzymowski of the Boston University field hockey team has been named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Northeast Region Second Team.

One of the top backs in the Patriot League and in the region, Borzymowski turned in an impressive junior campaign for the Terriers, leading the team in minutes played while anchoring the BU defense.

The Fallston, Md., native earned All-Patriot League Second Team honors and her six defensive saves were the most in the conference and tied her for fourth nationally. She went on to claim a spot on the Academic All-Patriot League Team for the second consecutive season, becoming just the second Terrier to earn that accolade multiple times.

Borzymowski recorded her first career goal and assist this fall and she has a 3.94 cumulative GPA as a biology major in the College of Arts & Sciences.

This is the first NFHCA All-Region recognition of her career.
