Women's Lacrosse Welcomes Seven Newcomers for 2022 Season

BOSTON - Boston University women's lacrosse head coach Lauren Morton and her staff have welcomed seven newcomers to the program for the upcoming 2022 season.
"I am thrilled to welcome this group to campus," said Morton. "We have watched them for a long time and know they will make an impact on the field, within our culture and in the BU community. They are an excellent group of students, athletes and young women. We are thrilled for them to lead our program to new heights."
The Terriers recently completed their fall schedule in preparations for their first full season since 2019. The 2022 schedule will be announced later this month.
Libby Carbo - Attack - Charlottesville, Va. - Western Albemarle/Yellow Jackets South
Three-year starter and two-time all-state honoree at Western Albemarle High School … Led her team to two appearances in the state title game (2019, 2021) … All-Jefferson District First Team selection and all-region pick … Led team in scoring in 2019 with 110 points (60g, 50a) … Played for Yellow Jackets South … Also played soccer at WA.
"Libby brings incredible vision, stickwork and lacrosse IQ that will allow her to step into a critical role in our offense. She brings a tremendous work ethic and will help to elevate our attacking unit."
Abby Cotraro - Midfield - Beverly, Mass. - St. Paul's School/Mass Elite
All-NEPSAC honoree at St. Paul's School … Received St. Paul's Athletic Award for Resilience and Performance … Team went a combined 26-4 her final two seasons … Three-sport captain (lacrosse, field hockey, basketball) … Played for NH/VT regional team at National High School Tournament in 2018 & 2019 … Lakes Region All-Star as a sophomore … Played club for Mass Elite.
"Abby is a strong midfielder and a force on both ends of the field. She is a strong, tough dodger and great at finding the cage. She is a tough, gritty player who will make an impact right away."
Avery Jones - Midfield - Slingerlands, N.Y. - Bethlehem Central/Ultimate Lacrosse
US Lacrosse All-American and three-year starter at Bethlehem Central High School … Captain as a senior … Led 2021 team in goals and was second in assists … Earned Suburban Council honors all three seasons (2021 First Team, 2020 Second Team, 2018 Honorable Mention) … Also played field hockey … Played for Ultimate Lacrosse club team.

Kaylee Munster - Midfield - Allentown, Pa. - Allentown/Ultimate Lacrosse
Captain and All-CVC First Team honoree in both lacrosse and soccer at Allentown High School … Also played for Ultimate Lacrosse … 2021 Trentonian CVC Defender of the Year … AHS Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year … Named to CVC All-Coaches First team as a junior … Won a state championship in soccer.
"Kaylee's speed will make her an asset in our midfield group. She has a presence between the 30s and has developed into a strong two-way midfielder that will help our unit."
Matty Spaeth - Attack - Tewksbury, N.J. - Voorhees/STEPS Elite
Three-year starter at Voorhees High School … Two-sport captain (lacrosse, soccer) … Named to all-conference first team as a senior … NJ Under Armour All-American Command Team as a sophomore … Selected as a NJ.com Top 100 Freshman in 2018 … Played for STEPS Elite club team.

Hannah Tillier - Attack - Guilford, Conn. - Guilford/Nor'Easter Lacrosse
Standout for Guilford High School and Nor'easter Lacrosse … Guilford Female Athlete of the Year as a senior … Led team to two divisional titles (2019, 2021) and 2021 CIAC Class M state championship … 2021 CIAC All-State First Team and New Haven Register All-Area First Team … Two-time All-SCC (2021 First Team, 2019 Second Team) … Also starred in field hockey, earning 2020 GameTime CT Player of the Year honors and all-state accolades her final three seasons.
