WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Senior co-captain Jesse Compher of the Boston University women's ice hockey team was named Hockey East Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Compher led the Terriers with three points in Saturday's 4-1 win over Vermont. She helped erase an early 1-0 deficit by providing the primary assist on the tying goal before scoring the game-winner. Compher later added an empty-netter to seal the victory.
The Northbrook, Illinois, native leads the Terriers in goals (5) and points (8) in just six games this season. Compher has been held off the score sheet just once this season and has notched a goal in four of her six appearances. For her career, Compher has notched at least two points on 36 different occasions.
