
Denison, Steenssens Named To PL Preseason All-League Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Graduate student Miya Denison and sophomore Thalia Steenssens have been named to the Preseason All-Patriot League Team, as announced by the league office on Thursday.
Denison collected her first preseason honor after earning All-PL Second Team honors last year as a junior. The forward has 24 career points on 10 goals and four assists.
Steenssens made a strong impression as a rookie last season, tying for the team lead in assists with three, and was the lone sophomore to make the league's preseason squad.
The Terriers, who reached the Patriot League title game last year for the seventh time in their eight seasons since joining the league, were selected third in the PL Preseason Poll and collected four first-place votes.
American claimed the top spot with 96 points while defending champion Bucknell placed second with 93 points and two first-place votes. Lafayette (52), Lehigh (50), Holy Cross (39) and Colgate (21) completed the poll.
Voting for the 11-member Preseason All-Patriot League Field Hockey team, major awards and preseason poll was completed by Patriot League field hockey head coaches and sports information directors, who cannot vote for their team or student-athletes.
