
Bach, Poulin to Represent Canada at 2021 World Championship

CALGARY, Alta. - Former Boston University women's ice hockey standouts Victoria Bach ('18) and Marie-Philip Poulin ('15) will represent Canada at the 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship, Hockey Canada announced on Thursday.
The duo was named to Canada's world championship roster for the second straight year, with Poulin set to make her ninth overall appearance at an IIHF Women's World Championship. This year's event is scheduled to take place August 20-31 in Calgary.
Bach and Poulin are both centralized with Hockey Canada ahead of the 2022 Olympics. They most recently played at the PWHPA's Dream Gap Tour, where Poulin led all players during the showcase with five goals and six assists for 11 points. Bach finished sixth in scoring thanks to two goals and three assists for five points. This will be the first time that both Bach and Poulin have skated for their country since the last Rivalry Series against the United States in 2020. Bach led Canada in both goals (2) and points (3) during the series and scored the overtime-winning goal in game three.
BU will boast three alumnae at the 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship, as Jesse Compher ('21) will skate for the United States.
