Sydney Healey Named Hockey East Rookie of the Week

AMESBURY, Mass. – Freshman Sydney Healey of the Boston University women's ice hockey team was named the Hockey East rookie of the week, the conference announced Monday.
Healey scored two goals on the weekend in the home-and-home series against Merrimack. On the road, she lit the lamp for the Terriers with a power-play goal that she poked into the net. At the Saturday home contest, Healey scored the game-winning goal in the second period. She was open at the left crease and found the back of the net to make it her second game-winning-goal this season.
Healey has four points to her name with three goals and one assist. She has the second most points of any freshmen on the BU squad.
The Terriers will continue Hockey East play when they host Providence on Friday at 7 p.m. at Walter Brown Arena.
