BOSTON – Resuming Patriot League play, the Boston University men's soccer team will host Bucknell on Saturday with the Soc'toberFest contest slated to begin at 2 p.m.

As part of Soc'toberFest, there will be food trucks, cider donuts, ears of corn and a beer garden for those 21 and older. The matchup is also part of Family & Alumni Weekend for the program, which will be honoring at halftime former head coach Neil Roberts, who led the Terriers to 28 winning seasons from 1985-2019.

TERRIER TIDBITS

BU is looking to bounce back after Harvard snapped its eight-game home unbeaten streak that dated back to last season, 1-0, back on Tuesday.
The Terriers are 1-1-4 overall at home with a 1-0 win over Merrimack and shutouts against both Boston College and Lafayette.
In the last two PL games, BU recorded a 2-2 home draw to Army and a 1-1 tie at Navy.
Senior Colin Innes leads the Terriers with six points off three goals, while junior Andrew Rent has five points off a team-high three assists and a goal.
Senior Francesco Montali has started 10 contests, earning a .805 save percentage and 0.80 goals aginast average with four combined shutouts.
Opponents are averaging 1.4 more shots per game with a 56-46 advantage in corners.

SCOUTING BUCKNELL

The Bison are 0-4 on the road this year, including three losses to start the season at Loyola Chicago, DePaul and St. Bonaventure by a combined score of 8-1. They also lost at American, 2-1,
Bucknell is 1-2 vs. the PL at home with a 2-1 win over Lehigh and losses to Navy (2-0) and Lafayette (1-0). The other win this year came against St. Peter's (2-1).
Mo Tall leads the Bison with six points off two goals and two assists. Cade McGrath owns two goals, while MJ Kuczura has two assists.
Freddie Lapworth has started the last three games at net, posting a .733 save percentage and 1.33 goals against average. With eight starts, Bennett Schwartz owns a .486 save percentage and 2.40 GAA.
Bucknell is averaging 2.4 more shots per game than opponents with a slight 52-50 edge in corners.

SERIES HISTORY

Nine of the 10 all-time meetings have gone to overtime with Bucknell leading the series, 3-1-6.
Last season on the road, the teams battled to a scoreless draw for the second time, as BU posted an 16-12 advantage in shots.
The Bison won the only game to finish in regulation at home in 2019, after the Terriers claimed a 2-1 OT home victory in 2018.

UP NEXT

BU will fly south to Baltimore to face Loyola Maryland on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 1 p.m.
The Greyhounds have won each of the last four meetings after BU recorded a 3-3 draw on the road in 2016.
