The No. 11 Boston University men's ice hockey team will welcome Notre Dame to Agganis Arena for the first time since 2017 when the two teams take the ice on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU enters Wednesday having split a weekend series with then-No. 18/16 Northeastern, rebounding from a 2-0 home loss with a thrilling 4-3 overtime victory at Matthews Arena.
- Freshman Lane Hutson was named Hockey East Rookie of the Week for the second time this season after he scored his second overtime-winning goal of the season.
- Hutson also assisted on classmate Ryan Greene's third-period equalizer for his fourth multi-point game of the season.
- The reigning Hockey East Defender of the Month is currently tied for the team lead with eight assists and is tied for second on the squad with 12 points. No other Hockey East freshman has more assists than Hutson.
- Greene (6g, 6a) is tied with Hutson for second on the squad with 12 points.
- Senior Matt Brown lit the lamp in the win at Northeastern and leads BU with 14 points, sitting tied with both Greene and Hutson in goals and assists, respectively.
- Senior Domenick Fensore found the back of the net and had the primary helper on Greene's game-tying goal.
- Junior Drew Commesso made 30 saves, including five in a frantic overtime period, to earn the win on Saturday. He only allowed one goal in a hard-luck loss the previous night.
- This will be the Terriers' 11th straight game against a ranked opponent.
- BU owns the toughest schedule in the country this season.
- Through 11 games this season, 17 different Terriers have scored a goal and 18 different BU skaters have registered a point.
- All 18 of those Terriers have notched multiple points.
- BU boasts the top-ranked offense in Hockey East, averaging 3.64 goals per game.
- That also ranks 10th in the NCAA.
- BU is 11-4-2 in its last 17 games at Agganis Arena, with three of the four losses coming in overtime.
- Northeastern was the first team since UMass Lowell on Oct. 29, 2021, to earn a regulation win at Agganis.
SERIES HISTORY
- BU and Notre Dame have met 15 times, with BU owning a 6-7-2 record against the Fighting Irish.
- That includes a weekend split in the last two games between the schools in February 2017 at Agganis Arena.
- BU is 2-2-1 against Notre Dame at Agganis and 3-2-1 all-time against the Irish in Boston, as the first meeting between the teams was a 7-3 Terrier triumph on Dec. 29, 1970, at Boston Arena.
SCOUTING THE FIGHTING IRISH
- Notre Dame has played the second toughest schedule in the country according to KRACH, with BU the only team boasting a more difficult schedule this season.
- The Irish are 6-6-2 overall, including a 3-4-1 record in the Big Ten.
- They most recently split a pair of road games at Ohio State, rebounding from a 5-2 loss on Friday to earn a 1-0 victory the next day.
- Graduate student and Providence transfer Jack Adams scored the lone goal in Saturday's win.
- Junior Ryder Rolston and graduate student Chayse Primeau lead Notre Dame with 10 points apiece.
- Rolston and graduate student Nick Leivermann each have a team-high four goals while Primeau leads Notre Dame with seven assists.
- Senior goaltender Ryan Bischel has started all 14 games for the Irish.
- Bischel, who owns a 2.46 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage, has recorded three shutouts this season.
