Di Battista Earns Academic All-Patriot League Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Adding to her awards haul, Boston University women's tennis junior and 2022 Patriot League Doubles Team of the Year honoree Erica Di Battista received her first-ever Academic All-Patriot League nod, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Montreal, Quebec, native was already both a two-time All-PL and two-time PL Academic Honor Roll member. This season, she collected 17 singles victories and teamed with graduate student Emily Kim for 10 doubles wins while majoring in human physiology with a 3.73 GPA.
After winning all three singles matches at the Brown Fall Classic, the 2021 ITA Scholar-Athlete posted a No. 1 win during the spring against Binghamton and tallied No. 2 wins against UConn, Rhode Island, Bryant and Loyola Maryland. She also recorded No. 3 victories over Navy and Duquesne.
In doubles, both she and Kim posted two victories against Army's 2021 PL Doubles Team of the Year in Stephanie Dolehide and Caroline Vincent. They earned notable non-conference victories over Brown, UConn, Rhode Island and Duquesne at line 1 and also added No. 2 wins against Boston College and Bryant.
