Thalia Steenssens and junior
Payton Anderson have been named to the NFHCA Division I Northeast All-Region Second Team, as announced on Wednesday.
Steenssens and Anderson were standouts all season long for the Terriers, leading to All-Patriot League First Team honors after helping the Terriers earn eight wins and reach the conference semifinals.
Both Anderson and Steenssens and repeat all-region honorees as Anderson was a first-team selection in 2022 while Steenssens was a second-team pick.
Steenssens led all Patriot League players in assists this season with 10 and added five goals for a team-best 20 points. She was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 2 after having a hand in all five BU goals in a two-win weekend. She ranks ninth all-time at BU in career assists with 24.
Last year's PL Defensive Player of the Year, Anderson turned in another strong season on both ends of the field with 12 points on five goals and two assists while helping the defense allow just 1.17 goals per game in conference play. She earned Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week honors on Oct. 2.
