BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Juniors Reilly Agres and Quinn Ferry were tabbed as the Patriot League goalkeeper and defender of the week, respectively, the league announced Monday. Sophomore Matty Spaeth also received an honorable mention for attacker of the week.
Agres started and played the full 60 minutes of BU's games against UMass Lowell and then-No. 20 Navy. She had 17 saves between the two games, 10 of which helped BU upset Navy for the program's first ranked win since 2014. The junior netminder faced 50 shots and scooped up three ground balls en route to her third weekly award this season.
Ferry played a pivotal role in BU's defense against the Mids' on Saturday. She scooped up two ground balls and caused two turnovers to help keep the Terriers in the lead on their way to the win. Against UMass Lowell, the junior also collected two ground balls. The honor is Ferry's first of the season.
Spaeth, who made her seventh start this season against Navy, scored four goals in BU's upset over its Patriot League foes. In the game against UMass Lowell, the sophomore also logged two assists and scooped up three ground balls.
The Terriers host their third consecutive home game on Tuesday (April 11) when they host local rival No. 7 Boston College. Opening draw against the Eagles is set for 4 p.m. at Nickerson Field.
