Barry Earns Academic All-Patriot League Team Recognition

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior Jennifer Barry of the Boston University women's lacrosse team was named to the 2023 Academic All-Patriot League Team, the league announced Wednesday. Barry is one of 12 individuals that were selected to the team.
Barry, who is a Behavior & Health major in Sargeant College, led BU on the field and in the classroom. She finished the season with 47 points from 26 goals and 21 assists and ended on a nine-game points streak. The Lake Grove, N.Y., native led BU in points for most of the season and led in assists through the full season.
Her 139 draw controls this season propelled her to 376 in her career, making her 8th in the NCAA in active career leaders. The senior was recently named to the First-Team All-Patriot League as an attacker and was the lone Terrier to earn first-team distinction.
To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor. These honors recognize student-athletes who excel in their sport and the classroom. The awards are voted on by Patriot League women's lacrosse sports information directors, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.
