O'Brien Named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After scoring a hat trick in a 4-3 double-overtime win at Vermont on Sunday, sophomore Caroline O'Brien of the Boston University field hockey team was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
O'Brien erased a 2-0 deficit with corner goals in the 22nd and 26th minutes to create a 2-2 halftime deadlock with the Catamounts. In the second overtime, O'Brien ended the game with another corner goal at the 76:58 mark.
O'Brien now leads the Terriers in both points (8) and goals (4). She has scored four of the team's past five goals.
BU will return to action on Saturday (Sept. 16) when it opens up Patriot League play with a Turnpike Trophy contest at Holy Cross. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
