No. 13/12 Terriers to Host U.S. Under-18 Team Friday Night at Agganis

The No. 13/12 Boston University men's ice hockey team will close out the first semester on Friday night when the Terriers host the U.S. National Under-18 Team for an exhibition game at Agganis Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
There will be a postgame autograph session following Friday's game. The exhibition contest will be streamed on ESPN+, with an audio-only broadcast located here. Fans can purchase tickets for the game by clicking here.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU rallied for a 4-2 win at UMass on Wednesday night thanks to four unanswered goals.
- Junior Devin Kaplan's power-play goal late in the second stanza brought BU within one.
- Freshman Cole Hutson tied the game with 11:11 remaining in regulation before scoring the winner with 9:53 to go.
- Junior Quinn Hutson added an insurance goal with 7:53 on the clock to complete a two-point night.
- Cole Hutson ended the evening with four points, as he assisted on the two goals he didn't score.
- Kaplan assisted on the go-ahead goal to also finish with two points while freshman Cole Eiserman collected a career-best two helpers.
- Senior Jack Hughes and sophomore Jack Harvey added one assist apiece.
- Senior goaltender Mathieu Caron was sharp all night, making several big stops as part of a 20-save performance.
- The Terriers went 3-for-3 on the penalty kill against the third-ranked power play in the country.
- BU was 2-for-5 on the power play.
- The Hutson family (Cole, Quinn, Lane) is responsible for four of the last seven four-point games by a Terrier skater.
SCOUTING THE UNDER-18 TEAM
- The U18s enter Friday on a three-game win streak after defeating the Muskegon Lumberjacks, 3-1, in USHL action on Wednesday.
- Four future Terriers - Carter Amico, Conrad Fondrk, Jack Murtagh and Charlie Trethewey - are on this year's squad, with the latter three expected to play on Friday.
- Murtagh had two assists in the win over Muskegon on Wednesday and is second on the team with 19 points (10g, 9a) in 18 games.
- Fondrk has totaled 18 points (6g, 12a) in 26 games while Trethewey leads the U18 defensive corps in goals (4) and points (10).
- BU will return from the semester break to face Yale in New Haven, Connecticut, on Dec. 29 at 4 p.m.
