Yuhn, Shanahan Collect Weekly Hockey East Awards

AMESBURY, Mass. - After leading Boston University to a pair of road wins over the weekend, sophomore Clara Yuhn has been named the Hockey East Player of the Week and junior Callie Shanahan has been selected as the Stop It Goaltending Co-Goaltender of the Week, as announced by Hockey East on Monday.
Yuhn scored two goals, including the game-winner, in a 4-0 road win at Merrimack on Saturday after collecting two assists in a 4-1 triumph at Vermont on Friday. The sophomore now has nine goals on the year to surpass her freshman total of eight and is tied for second on the team with 22 points.
Shanahan stopped 44 of 45 shots over the weekend and earned her second shutout of February when she saved all 19 shots she faced in the win at Merrimack. With her performances, she raised her save percentage to .923 and lowered her goals-against average to 1.92.
The Terriers will close out the regular season with a home-and-home series against No. 11 UConn starting on Friday (Feb. 23) at Walter Brown Arena.
