Geddes Tabbed Patriot League Rookie of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Freshman Tessa Geddes of the Boston University women's lacrosse team was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Geddes scored six goals this week with four against Army West Point and two against Lafayette. She had never scored more than once in a game up until this past week and set career single-game highs in goals and points with four.
In Saturday's tilt with Lafayette, she had a pivotal assist on BU's game-tying goal against the Leopards that sent the game into overtime and helped her earn seven points on the week. Geddes won 13 draw controls in the two games and went 2-for-2 on free position goals against the Black Knights.
The Winchester, Mass., native has 11 goals and two assists for 13 points this season and leads the team in draw controls with 57. This is Geddes' first weekly award.
BU resumes play on Wednesday when it travels to UMass Lowell for a 4:30 p.m. tilt with the River Hawks.
