BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After scoring two goals in a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Army West Point, Boston University men's soccer sophomore Andrea Di Blasio earned Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Di Blasio's award marks the first weekly honor of the season for the Terriers. The Brooklyn, New York, native first scored the equalizer at 51:04 with a one-touch shot off freshman Dylan Williams' low cross.
He followed up with what proved to be the game winner at 77:22 by running into the box and heading in senior Andrew Rent's cross that was set up by a long pass from junior Quin DeLaMater.
With his first two career goals, Di Blasio currently owns the team lead for points with four total. He will next join the Terriers on a visit to Ivy League foe Brown on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
