Hodgins, Aiosa Snag PL Weekly Awards

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Junior defender Siri Hodgins was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week and sophomore Natalie Aiosa earned Patriot League Goakeeper of the Week honors following a 2-0 weekend for the Boston University women's lacrosse team.

Hodgins had a career week, notching five ground balls and five caused turnovers, including a career-high three caused turnovers in a 10-8 win over Bucknell on Saturday, March 15. She has been a mainstay in a defensive line that allowed just 8.00 goals per game in wins over UNH and Bucknell. This is the first weekly award of Hodgins' career.

Aiosa made 24 saves on 40 shots on goal to notch a weekly save percentage of .600 against UNH and Bucknell and push her yearly save percentage to .511, second in the Patriot League this year. She now is tied for first in the PL in saves per game with 10.22 and ranks fourth in the NCAA in saves (92). This is Aiosa's second weekly Patriot League honor this season.

Next up, the Hodgins, Aiosa and the Terriers continue Patriot League action with a contest at Lafayette on Saturday, March 22. Opening draw is set for noon.
