Men's Ice Hockey Places Program-Record 19 on Hockey East All-Academic Team

AMESBURY, Mass. - A program-record 19 members of the Boston University men's ice hockey team were named to the league's All-Academic Team, as announced on Wednesday.

All 19 Terriers achieved a GPA of 3.0 or better in each semester during the 2024-25 season. The Terriers have placed at least 11 student-athletes on the Hockey East All-Academic Team in each of the last five years, including 15+ in all three seasons that head coach Jay Pandolfo has been in charge.

Fourteen of the 19 Terriers tabbed for the squad were first-time selections, including seven freshmen. One of those rookies, Cole Eiserman, earned a 4.0 GPA in the spring semester while also excelling on the ice, leading all NCAA freshmen with 25 goals. This was the second straight year that the National Rookie of the Year was an All-Academic honoree, as Cole Hutson earned a spot after Macklin Celebrini did the same a year ago.

Sophomores Aiden Celebrini, Mick Frechette, Doug Grimes, Shane Lachance and Max Lacroix all made the squad for a second straight season. Lacroix joined fellow goaltenders Mathieu Caron, Billy Girard IV and Mikhail Yegorov on the team.
